Abril felt a calling to bring heart to her medicine, and has studied intimately with several prominent Zen and Taoist Masters. She has studied qigong with Master Li Jun Feng since 2003 and completed a 36 day meditation retreat with her master last year. She is a Reiki Master and received the 9 rites of the Munay-Ki during shaman studies with the 4 Winds Society. She holds several Masters Degrees in Nursing, and a Masters and Doctoral degree in Oriental Medicine.

 

She is an expert Oriental herbalist and is certified in Facial Acupuncture Rejuvenation and has created several skin care formulations. She was mentored by Drs. Mao and Dao Ni in their famous fertility practice in Santa Monica and did course work in Mayan healing and abdominal manipulation techniques. She completed the year long Adapt certification with Chris Kresser and also studied at the School of Applied Functional Medicine and Institute of Functional Medicine. 

 

Abril's family and their rescue English Bulldog Panda have decided to call Charlottesville their home. She is ecstatic to bring her talents to this city. Her unique blend of Modern and Ancient medicine is certainly not to be missed.
