My massage technique includes a blend of Myofascial release, compression, joint mobilization and breath awareness.  Long, fluid strokes and firm pressure, result  in a feeling of connectivity between the physical body, the mind and the spirit (breath integration);  a feeling of being grounded.   Each client is unique. Each massage is customized to meet the needs of the client.  My massage training was at the Virginia School of Massage from 1999-2001.  I’ve attended numerous other trainings for a variety of modalities. 


Fitness and wellness have  been my lifelong passions. Through personal training, group exercise and teaching yoga,  I enjoy helping clients reach their personal goals.  I currently teach several varieties of yoga including gentle, yin, restorative and hatha.  My favorite style is a slow flow with emphasis on moving slowly and deliberately, fully experiencing the sensations in the body.  My yoga trainings were with FlyDog Yoga in Charlottesville,  Yoga Medicine in Peru and numerous other trainings and workshops. 


Throughout my professional career in bodywork, I continue to learn, research, explore and experiment with a curious passion for  the human body’s innate ability to heal.
